Happy JUNE!

Looking for material for your social media account or newsletter this month? Here are seven fun holidays you can celebrate as a writer or reader this month.

Audiobook Appreciation Month.

Audiobooks are almost the only way I can “read” anymore. I spend a lot of time in the car, and alongside some of my favorite podcasts (shout out to The Shit No One Tells You About Writing and Crime Junkie), I tune into audiobooks more often than not. My last listen was The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides.

June 1: National PenPal Day.

PenPals — my OG writing experience. I used to have PenPals from all over and loved writing and receiving mail. It might be one of the reasons I still get excited today when something (non-spam) comes in the mail.

June 9: National Children’s Day.

Shout out to all my fellow children’s book authors (and parents)! Use this day to advocate for yourself and your children’s book with a social media post, blog, or newsletter blast.

June 10: National Ballpoint Pen Day.

Are other writers obsessed with ballpoint pens, or is it just me? I keep them in my purse, work bag, car, and almost everywhere in between.

June 17: National Writing Day.

No explanation needed.

June 20: World Productivity Day.

Have a few productivity tricks up your sleeve? Share them with the world on June 20th! I have a blog post planned with a few of my own proven methods.

June 30: Social Media Day.

Chances are you’re probably using social media regularly, but it’s a good day to plan an extra post, use the hashtag #socialmediaday, or spruce up your strategy. Need a hand? Let’s chat

Tell me what holidays you’re celebrating this month in the comments!
